The anti-German movement in Australia was in part driven by the Patriots League, an organisation of people of British birth or descent who raised money for the war effort, spoke in favour of conscription and exhorted all Australians to sign the 'Patriotic Pledge'. This badge was issued by them and is one of the rarest anti-German themed WWI badges.
