MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.27 g), Macedon 'Amphipolis' mint, issued by Kassander as regent (317-305 B.C.) and struck 307-297 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **L* over torch on left, star on cone under throne, to right **ALEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6713, Price 475, BMC 475, Ehrhardt 'Amphipolis' 53, SNG Alpha Bank 540, SNG Munich 323, M.72). Nearly extremely fine/ extremely fine.
