MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 17, uncertain Macedonian mint, (5.24 g), posthumous issue c.323-315 B.C., obv. Apollo head to right with tainia, dotted border, rev. naked youth on horse, above trace of **FILOPPOU*, below horse N and trident, (cf.S.6696, SNG ANS 909, SNG Greece II 406). Green patina, good very fine, scarce.
