THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.11 g), Pella mint, issued 286/5-282/1 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena Nikephoros enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, resting arm on shield, HP monogram to left, **SIE* monogram in inner left, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, Thompson 248 var., M.352, Armenak 938 var. [control marks, same obverse die]). Bright, with nearly full flan but slightly off centred obverse, nearly extremely fine and rare.
