ITALY, FAO.Roma, 16 October 1989, in silver (60.4g; 50mm) by R.Stefanelli, obverse, kneeling, naked man tends to a small tree, reverse, a quote from Socrates, 'Agriculture is mother and nurse of the other arts, for when agriculture flourishes, all other arts are in full vigour.' Small edge bump at 4 o'clock, extremely fine.
