GUERNSEY, Great Britain, Bank of England, one pound, Peppiatt, E 15 A 763362, with overprint 'Withdrawn from Circulation September 18 1941' in four lines across the note [Duggleby B239(C), p.80 (£225 EF), illustrated on colour plate] as issued for the States of Guernsey. Extremely fine and rare.

Duggleby records a total of 1,885 such notes being withdrawn. He records a detailed account (p.80) of the reasons for the overprinting.
