CYPRUS, Queen Victoria, unofficial pattern thirty-six piastres, dated 1901, crowned and veiled old head left, by Donald R. Golder, proofs in 925 silver, copper and aluminium bronze. FDC. (120)

At the end of Victoria's long reign in 1901 Cyprus issued small silver three, four and nine piastre coins. There were no larger denominations. Thirty-six piastres would have been a logical denomination and the model pieces offered here have a reverse design that closely resembles that of the contemporary Cypriot coinage. Total mintage 450 sets.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
