INDIA, EIC, Madras Presidency, European Style Coinages Issues, 1808-1815, gold two pagodas, (5.952 grams), obverse, Gopuram of a temple with 9 stars each side, around in English, TWO PAGODAS, reverse, deity Vishnu standing surrounded by dotted circles, in native text of Tamil and Telugu 'two pagodas' (KM.358; Pr.146). Good extremely fine and rare.
