BRITISH MODEL AIRCRAFT, S.E.5a WWI fighter plane, Museum quality construction, part skeletal, full fuselage without wings, in original colours (length 71cm, height 38cm, width 43cm). A superb model.

The S.E.5a was designed by Royal Aircraft Factory. Its first trial flight was in January 1917 and it first saw combat in June 1917 in English Squadron No.56. The plane was used to engage enemy fighters and balloons and bomber escort. Most British top aces flew this type of plane, and it was given the nickname 'Ace-maker'.
