MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 163, (3.26 g), obv. bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around IMP M ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around PROV DEOR TR P XVII COS III, Providentia standing to left holding globe and cornucopiae, (cf.S.4925, BMC 218, RIC 70, RSC 526). Steel blue patination, well centred, nearly extremely fine/good very fine.
