L. CALPURNIUS PISO FRUGI, (90 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.73 g), obv. Apollo laureate head to right, S:: behind head, rev. naked horseman galloping to right holding palm, L.PISO FR[VGI], II below, (S.235, Cr.340/1, B.Calpurnia 11). Struck slightly off centre, nearly very fine with gold toning, a scarce sub type.
