THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.08 g), Lampsacus mint, issued 297/6- 282/1 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, herm to far left, monogram of **TEMG* to left, to right **BASILEW[S]*, to left **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, Muller 89, Thompson 55). Grey attractive tone, nearly extremely fine and rare.

Ex Alan Jordan Collection and purchased from Noble Numismatics Sale 68 (lot 1818) and previously from Antiquarius, New Zealand, list 35 No.13, June 1995. A coin with good style bust for Alexander with a fine eye looking forward.
