ITALY, Lucania, Thurium (Thourioi), (350-300 B.C.), silver stater, (7.60 g), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with figure of Scylla, rev. bull butting to right, **UOURIWN* and **D above, dolphin below base line in the exergue, (cf.S.447; SNG ANS 1046-7 [similar dies], SNG Cop.-, BMC -). Extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Alan Jordan Collection and purchased from Noble Numismatics Sale 73 (lot 3203). Unusual with dolphin in exergue and very rare letter **D* above.
