ITALY, Calabria, Tarentum, (c.280-272 B.C.), silver nomos or didrachm (6.37 g), obv. warrior riding left, holding shield and two spears, Z**W* to right, below, [I-I] above **APOL LWI*, rev. Taras astride dolphin left, holding distaff and bunch of grapes, **[ANW]* to right, traces of TA**RAS* below, (cf.S.372, Vlasto 789-91, HN Italy 1013). Very fine, toned.
