GERMANY, Saxony-Anhalt, Centenary of Restoration of Royal Gymnasium, Halberstadt, 1875, in white metal (33.5mm) by H.Held, obverse, youth with book at side and seated Cicero holding torch, around is part of Cicero's speech 'Pro Archia' in defense of poetry and litterae, translated to 'Literary Studies Sustain Youth and Entertain Old Age'; another, Song Festival of the North German Confederation Singers, Halberstadt, 1884, in white metal (40mm) by Otto Schmidt, obverse, harp within laurel wreath, reverse, church. The first with some toning, otherwise extremely fine. (2)
