USA, 1936 S PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island, tercentenary commemorative silver half dollar. Lightly toned, uncirculated.

In a slab by NGC as MS66. Mintage was 15,011. Commemorates the 300th anniversary of Roger Williams's founding of Providence. The obverse shows Roger Williams in a canoe being welcomed by an Indian. The reverse has the anchor of Hope with a shield. Although it commemorates the founding of Providence no mention is made to the city on the coin.
