USA, 1927 VERMONT SESQUICENTENNIAL COMMEMORATIVE SILVER HALF DOLLAR. Brilliant, uncirculated.

In a slab by PCGS as MS65. Mintage was 28,142. The issue commemorates the 150 anniversary of the Battle of Bennington and the independence of Vermont. The obverse shows the head of Ira Allen the founder of Vermont. The reverse shows on a pedastal a catamount (this powerful predator roams the Americas, where it is also known as a puma or a cougar).
