USA, 1925 FORT VANCOUVER CENTENNIAL COMMEMORATIVE SILVER HALF DOLLAR. Brilliant, uncirculated.

In a slab by Smart Collect as MS65. Mintage was 14,994 The issue commemorates the 100th anniversary of the building of Fort Vancouver in Washington on the Columbia river in 1825. The sale of these coins helped finance the pageant staged for the celebration. The obverse has the bust of John McLoughlin who built the fort and the reverse has a pioneer settler with Fort Vancouver in the background.
