AMATEUR ATHLETIC UNION OF THE UNITED STATES, MDCCCLXXXVIII (1888) medal in gold (tested at 16ct, 24.1g, 38mm) with loop mount, inscribed on reverse '220 yd Swim/Women/May 1-1921/Thea Cavill'. Very fine.
See the Australian Cavill family inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1970.
