COMMONWEALTH CELEBRATIONS, May 1901, Victoria, pass in gold (15ct, 6.9g, 32x19mm oval), inscribed on reverse 'The Hon A.O.Sachse M.L.A.' Nearly extremely fine.

Arthur Otto Sachse was a consulting engineer by profession, Member Legislative Council 1892-1920, Minister of Public Instruction and Vice President of Board of Land & Works in the Ministry of Sir Thomas Bent. He was one of the founders of the Royal Geographical Society of Australasia.
