CARIA, Carian Islands, Rhodes, (c.250-230 B.C. Ashton chronology), silver didrachm, (6.52 g), obv. radiate head of Helios three-quarter face to right with hair loose, rev. rose, with bud on right, P O below, to left a herm, above **TIMOQEOS*, all within dotted border, (S.5048, Ashton series 4, No.209, BMC 150-2 [p.244], SNG Cop.767-8, SNG Finland 540-1 [similar dies], SNG Fitz. 4790). Bright, otherwise good very fine and rare.
