CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, stippled on a smoothed 1797 cartwheel penny, obverse, 'A Token/from/John Chapman/Aged 20/1832', reverse 'When/this you see/remember me/untill i get my/liberty', two doves between a heart below. Good very fine.

John Chapman was sentenced to 7 years 6th September 1832 for stealing a hankerchief.
