C. PISO L.F. Frugi, (c.67 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.81 grams), obv. Apollo head to right with fillet, flower behind, rev. C. PISO L.F. FRV. across below naked horseman with whip, galloping to right, S reversed above, (S.348, Cr.408/1b, B.Calpurnia 24h). Light toning, banker's marks on obverse, otherwise very fine.

C. Piso Frugi was the son-in-law of Cicero and was devoted to his cause.
