EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II Philadelphus, (285-246 B.C.), silver decadrachm, (34.65 gm), Alexandria mint, obv. veiled head of Arsinoe to right, wearing stephane, behind **L*, rev. double cornucopiae, bound with fillet, around **ARSINOHS FILADELFOU*, (cf.S.7770, Svoronos 477, BMC 6.43). A spectacular portrait of the highest artistic merit, lightly polished, well centred, nearly extremely fine and rare.
