John Davies, miner, age 32, born at Pontifedd, United Kingdom; Enl.01Dec1914 in Sydney (regimental numbers 1533 and 2644); Emb.11Feb1915; RTA 04May1915 sick; Emb.15Sep1915 (second time); to 5 Bn Tel El Kebir 07Jan1916 and then to Suez Defences near Serapuem; to France 25Mar1916; reported WIA and missing and later confirmed KIA 25Jul1916 during attacks near Pozieres; buried Pozieres British Cemetery, France. With research.
