BALBINUS (238 A.D.), silver denarius, (3.07 gm), obv. IMP CAES D CAEL BALBINVS AVG, laureate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Balbinus, rev. LIBERALITAS AVGVSTORVM Liberalitas standing left holding abacus and cornucopiae (S.8488, RSC 10, RIC 3, BMC 1). Extremely fine and very scarce.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 87 (lot 4350) and previously from Gorny & Mosch, Auction Sale 118 October 14, 2002 (lot 651).
