COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 191, (2.77 grams), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around L AEL A[VRE]L COMM AVG P FEL, rev. around [FELIC PER]PETVAE AVG, Commodus togate standing left, holding cornucopiae and clasping hands with Felicitas standing right, holding long caduceus, (S.5637, RIC 249, RSC 120). Oval flan with small cracks, die flaw on reverse, lightly toned, very fine or better and scarce.
