SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus IV, (175-164 B.C.), AE 32, (32.72 grams), 'Egyptianizing' series, Antioch mint, obv. laureate head of Zeus-Serapis to right, wearing tainia with Osiris crown at tip, rev. eagle to right with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, to right **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU*, to left ** QEOU and **EPIFAN[OUS]*, (S.6985, ACNAC Houghton 119-120, SMA 60, HGC 9, 643, SC 1413). Off centred on obverse, dark green patination, good fine and rare.
