SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Emesa mint, issued A.D. 194, (2.62 gm), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around IMP CAE L SEP SEV [PERT AVG] COS II, rev. around INVICTO AVG, trophy with captured arms below, (S.6288, RIC 389, RSC 232). Short on flan, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
