THRACE, Island of, Thasos, (340-300 B.C.), silver trihemiobol, (0.82 grams), obv. Satyr with kylix running to left, rev. amphora, around **QAS IWN* all within incuse square, (S.1755, SNG Cop.1029-1030, SNG Tubingen 943-5); Calabria, Tarentum (Taras), (c.280-228 B.C.), silver diobol, (0.88 grams), obv. head of Athena left, wearing Corinthian helmet, rev. Herakles astride the Nemean lion, raising club above, owl below, (Vlasto 1431ff, HN Italy 1065). Both toned, nearly very fine and scarce. (2)
