BOSPORUS, Gorgippia, (1st century B.C., SNG Stancomb suggests 100-70 B.C.), AE 20, (4.74 grams), obv. Apollo laureate head to right, rev. Thyrsus leaning on tripod, across in two rows **GOR GIP/PE WN*, monogram ME to left, (S.-, cf.SNG Cop.1, SNG Stancomb 620); Thrace, Mesembria, (400-350 B.C.), AE 18, (2.48 grams), obv. crested helmet facing, rev. **MESA* in four quarters of a radiate wheel, (S.1675; SNG BMC 272-273, BMC 5-7). Dark green patina, some surface roughness, otherwise nearly very fine - very fine, first very rare. (2)
