LEO III THE 'ISAURIAN', (717-741), gold tremissis, (1.482 grams), Constantinople mint, issued 717-720, obv. facing bust of short beard of Leo III wearing crown and chlamys, holding cross potent on globe, around dND LEO ND AMUL , rev. cross potent on base, around VICTORIA AVGVS, CONOB in exergue, (S.1507 [£500 VF], DOC 14, BMC -, T.-, R.-). Obverse scratch marks, nearly extremely fine and very rare.
