CONSTANTINE IV, (668-685), solidus, Constantinople mint, Class IV, issued 681-685, (4.430 grams), Officina **D*, obv. helmeted three-quarter cuirassed bust to right, with frontal plume, holding spear and shield, P CONS T A NUS PP A around, rev. Cross potent on three steps, between Heraclius and Tiberius, Officina H, around VICTOR AVGU **D*, CONOB in exergue, (S.1157, DOC (12a, Officina A), T.-, R.-, BMC -). Weakly struck on parts of legend, some double striking, otherwise good very fine and a very rare variant.
