CARIA, Knidos, (c.210-185 B.C.), silver didrachm or Attic octobol, (4.794 grams), obv. head of Rhodian Helios three-quarters face to right, rev. forepart of of lion to right, **KNIDI[WS]*, uncertain trace of magistrate's name below, (S.4851 [£400], cf.SNG Finland 210-214, BMC 76 [p.94]). Toned, good very fine and rare.
