SICILY, Siculo-Punic, mint of the camp, (c.300-290 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.990 grams), obv. head of young Melqart or Herakles wearing lion skin to right, rev. horse's head to left, palm tree behind, traces of Punic legend below, border of dots, (S.6436, SNG Fitz. 1494, Jenkins SNR 57, Series 5a, SNG Cop. 91). Worn on top of horse's head, with old steel patina, otherwise very fine and scarce.
