ANGLO BOER WAR, Prisoners of War Camp, Trichinopoly, Southern India, eight annas, 1 August 1901, No.515, signed by the camp commandant, Trichinopoly, bottom right and the 'Commandant, Boer Parolers Camp Kaity, Nirgiris' top left overprinted 'War 11th October, 1899' and 'Peace, 1st June 1902', diagonally in centre (Ineson p82-85; Jhun.1.1). Small tear top and bottom edges, very fine and very rare, only a few known.
