Banking, Real Estate Bank Limited, overprinted in red 'The Real Estate Mortgage & Deposit Bank Limited', Melbourne, 18[90], two hundred and forty £5 shares, black print and scrollwork left side; together with receipt for £5, from Mr H.W.Tompkins, 7th August 189[6], being 'in purchase of our claim against Joseph Britton in respect to 11 Promissory Notes drawn by the Australian Alliance Investment Company and endorsed by him', signed by the Liquidator of the Real Estate Mortgage and Deposit Bank Limited, and the eleven Promissory Notes, all dated Melbourne, 189[1], totalling £13,879 and made payable to S.G. King & J.Britten (6) and The Real Estate Mortgage & Deposit Bank Limited (5), duty stamps affixed to all. With pin holes and creases, otherwise fine - to good very fine. (13)
