BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES, receipt for second instalment of twenty five pounds for subscription for one share of Bank Capital Stock, No 29 dated 1st Day of April 1817, from John Wentworth by the Lord D (D'Arcy) Wentworth, signed E.S.Hall Cashier and Mr. Thos. Campbell (President). Extremely fine, the only example in private hands and of the utmost significance as the earliest known piece of scrip for Australia.
