ANCIENT ROMAN, a small collection, Republican Rome, silver denarius, helmeted head of Roma, X behind head, rev. biga of horses CCATO below, ROMA in exergue; Imperial issues, Julia Domna (A.D. 193-217) silver denarius, rev. Julia seated left holding branch and sceptre; another, rev. Pietas standing to left; Gordian III (A.D. 238-244) silver antoninianus, rev. Hercules standing right leaning on club set on rock (2); another, rev. Felicity standing holding sceptre and cornucopiae. Very fine. (6)
