SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D. 222-235), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 230, (14.63 grams), obv. laureate head of Severus Alexander to right with slight drapery on left shoulder, around IMP SEV ALE XANDER AVG, rev. around VICTORIA AVGVSTI, S C across field at base, Victory standing to right, foot on helmet, writing VOT V on shield fixed to palm-tree, (S.8021, RIC 616, C.567, BMC 643). Dark tone, very fine.
