CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 215, Rome mint, (3.23 grams), obv. Laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Sol standing facing head to left, holding globe and raising hand, around P M TR P XVIIII COS IIII P P, (cf.S.6839, RIC 264, RSC 288). Lightly toned, extremely fine and attractive, with collector's ticket.
