ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), AE as, issued 139, Rome mint, (11.64 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Antoninus Pius, around ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P, rev. Genius of the Roman people standing left holding patera and cornucopiae, altar at feet, around TR POT COS II, S C across field, GPR below, (S.4300, RIC 566a, C.396). Attractive dark green and brown patina, good very fine, minor surface roughness, scarce in this condition, with collector's ticket.
