M. VOLTEIUS M.F., (c.78 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.82 grams), obv. head of young Hercules to right, wearing lion skin, rev. the Erymanthian boar running to right, [M.] VOLTEI. M.F. in exergue, (S.313, Cr.385/2, Syd.775, RSC. Volteia 2). Even grey patina, slightly off centre on the obverse, good very fine/very fine and rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics, sale 62, (lot 2415) and previously from the John Quincy Adams and family collection, sold from by the Mass. Historical Society Collection by Stacks, New York, March 5, 1971 (lot 540) and later from the Dr. John Sawhill Collection as the James Madison University Collection, again by Stack's, New York, March 15, 1979 (lot 419 part).
