Distinguished Conduct Medal, (GVR type 1). 2708 Sjt: J.B.Raeside. 7/F.Coy Aust:E. Impressed. Ribbon faded, nicely toned extremely fine and scarce.
DCM: LG 18/7/1917, p7272, posn 1; CAG 8/11/1917, p2941, posn 23.
Citation: For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He displayed the utmost coolness and fearlessness in placing the charges and exploding them during the destruction of enemy wire. He personally attended to every detail, and the success of the operation was largely due to his close supervision.
