[RO]MA in exergue, (S.89, B.Pinaria 1, Cr.208/1, Syd.390); C. Porcius Cato, (c.123 B.C.), silver denarius (3.74 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head to right, X behind neck, rev. Victory in biga to right, C. CATO below, ROMA in exergue, (S.149, Cr.274/1, Syd.417, RSC Porcia 1). Both coins lightly toned, nearly very fine. (2)
