ATTICA, Aegina, (525/20-500 B.C.), silver stater, (12.044 grams), obv. smoothed shell sea turtle without row of dots down dorsal spine, rev. small incuse square, of 'Union Jack pattern' design with five sunken triangle compartments, (S.1858, Asyut Group III-IV, 'Small skew' cf.464, SNG Cop. 501, cf.Selinus hoard 99-100). Off centred, small banker's mark on obverse, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.

This is the second major stage of development in the reverse punch style.
