EUBOIA, Histiaia, (c.350-340 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.388 grams), obv. head of nymph Histiaia wreathed in ivy, rev. cow standing to right, vine with two bunches of grapes, **ISTI* in exergue, trace AY**G* monogram to right, (S.2494 [£140], BMC 4, Lanz BCD Catalogue No.111, [lot 375, realised hammer 350 Euros], SNG Cop.516). Toned, nearly fine or better and rare.

Ex BCD Collection and previously from the Karl Kress Auction Sale 176, 18-19th March 1980 (lot 308) for 150 + 17% DM, with tickets etc.
