GENT'S 18CT GOLD HUNTER POCKET WATCH, by John Bennett, key wind (key included), machine turned case (50mm; 105gm total weight), c1875, white dial with black Roman numerals, seconds dial with black Arabic numerals, works cover elaborately engraved, 'Maker to the Royal Observatory / coat-of-arms / John Bennett / 65 & 64 Cheapside / London', together with an 18ct gold Albert (16 inches; 45gm) and a gold sovereign, 1908S with fitted scroll suspender. One fob clip of a different pattern and loose, watch in working order, some slight discolouration around seconds dial, the sovereign sweated from wear, otherwise watch and chain extremely fine. (3 pieces + key)

Together with valuation certificate dated 26 April 1988 for $6,250.
