JAMES I, (1603- 1625), second coinage, 1607-9, silver shilling, fifth bust, mm coronet, (S.2656, N.2101). Lightly toned, round, nearly extremely fine portait and shield, weak in places on legend, otherwise very fine and scarce.

Ex W.H. Lampard Collection lot 2082, previously from Colin McNaught, Wellington stamp and coin dealer 60's - 70's, purchased in 1966.
