GEORGE MCCORQUODALE LITTLEJOHN, original hand coloured portrait under glass (540mm x 440mm approx), probably aged in his thirties, head and chest facing and wearing business suit. A few spots of foxing, very fine.

George McCorquodale Littlejohn, a pilot, was lost at sea off Hawaii when he was attempting to survey a route from Oakland, California to Sydney in company as co-pilot with Charles Ulm and Leon Skilling (navigator) on 4 December 1934 in the aircraft Stella Australis. The George McC Littlejohn Memorial Award medal was made in his memory by the Royal Aero Club of New South Wales c.1935.
